Cecil S. Wold was born in Eau Claire, WI on January 14, 1936 to Bert and Wilhelmina "Billie" Wold. He grew up in Eau Claire and attended Eau Claire Senior High School. On August 22, 1954 he married the love of his life Virginia Lund.
Cecil was a proud teamster driving truck for Chippewa Motor Freight until 1980. He then drove briefly for Wintz and P.I.E.
In his younger days Cecil enjoyed fishing, camping with long-time friends Joanne and Wesley Chase, and pheasant hunting. During deer season he could always be found "on the 40". After retirement Cecil could be found tending his vegetable garden, gathered with the gang at Heinie's barbershop, or his favorite place of all - on the road to Red Wing with Virginia.
Cecil is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Virginia, mother Wilhelmina Mizomi, his father Bert Wold, step-mother Margaret Wold, sister Lavonne (Douglas) Krueger, and brother George Wold.
He is survived by his children, Sherry Wold, James Wold, and Steven (Kim) Wold, grandchildren, Stephan (Jessica) Wold, Jolene Wold, Heather (Travis) Garside, Olie (Melissa) Wold and Tanya Wold. Great-grandchildren Ella and Logan Wold, Dailyn Wold, Lydia Wold, Zander and Jaxon Garside, Cambrie and Tenley Wold. A half-sister Sally Stewart, and sister-in-law Diane Lund.
