Carolyn Cizek

Carolyn May "Todd" (Johnson) Cizek, of Chetek, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, at Monroe Manor, Barron, Wisconsin.

Carolyn was one of eight children born to Arthur and Theresa (Hanson) Johnson on April 13, 1938, in Barron County, Wisconsin. She married Leonard A. Cizek on Syttende Mai, May 17, 1958. They shared 56 years of marriage before his death on July 4, 2014.

Surviving are her two daughters, Lorry (Roger) Cizek, Asheville, North Carolina, and Lynda Cizek, Corona, California; her sister, Betty (Rick) Rockow, Chetek; grandchildren, Brianna Cook, Corona, California, Brandon (Kasey) Cook, Corona, California and Samuel (Dez) Reese, Charlotte, North Carolina; great-grandchild, Gracyn Aria Cook, and her siblings, Taylon, Tristan, Makayla and Jaime, Corona, California. Carolyn had many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as other loving family and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, and sisters, Mildred (Johny) Christensen, Arlene Skjerly, Dona (Warren) Neby, Leona (Jerry) Puppe, Judy (Duane) Hanson and brother, Robert (Dolores) Johnson and stepsiblings Woodrow, Eugene, Lawrence, Douglas, Ove, Avena, LaVerna, Jean and stepfather, Arvid Lundholm.

Carolyn worked a variety of jobs, her favorite being office manager of a local propane company. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed camping, playing cards and bowling. She loved a funny joke and would always make time for friends. She was active in the Chetek Lutheran Church and local American Legion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chetek Lutheran Church, Sept. 10, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Guy Redfield. Inurment will be at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cementery, Spooner, Wisconsin at a later date.
