Caroline Heaps

Caroline A. Heaps (Lemke), age 72 of Eau Claire, WI, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at Oakwood Villa in Altoona, where she was residing since May of 2024.

She was born on September 23, 1953 in Illinois, the daughter of Tom and Ann (Guzdro) Healy.

On October 10, 1992 she was united in marriage with James A. Heaps at Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Together they were soulmates, each providing love, companionship and dedication to each other.

Carol was a greeter at Walmart for several years. She will be remembered for her gentle and sometimes spunky spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband James, and his siblings. Preceding her in death are her parents.

May she rest in peace and know that she will be dearly missed by her loving husband James.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
