Carol Jean Solie

Carol J. Solie, 74, passed to a new life with her God on October 18, 2026. The daughter of Ruth (Coffin) and De Wayne Solie, she was born and raised in Eau Claire.

Her working years were spent in healthcare ministry at Sacred Heart Hospital. For more than 20 years she shared her care and compassion in a variety of departments. She was proudest of her years as an LPN and as a Surgical Care Team Member.

Carol was a well-known and gifted crafter, including work with stain glass, woodwork and creating fabric Christmas trees.

Despite health challenges, Carol downhill skied and played a mean game of golf. She was a rescuer of numerous orphaned/abandoned kittens and cats. Surviving her are Squirt and Smokey.

Carol was a deeply loved, respected and admired member of her family. She is survived by her sisters, Sue Hartzel (Mike) and Kathie Solie. She will live on in the memories and hearts of nieces Tara Tibbitts, Tina Crane (Keith), Michele Wahl (Marlyn) and Tricia Murray, and nephew Joseph Murray (Jennifer).

Her life was made rich and joyful with the arrival of grand and great-grand nieces and nephews: Julia Stinson, Clara Stinson, Kate Stinson, Kaleb Crane (Alex) and Autumn, Chloe Crane (Blake), Sydney Bohland and Mia, Abigail Brandenberg (Grant) and Rosie and Florence, Chance Murray (Victor Simpson). Carol will be lovingly remembered by many cousins and their families.

The wonderful family of residents at Good Shepherd Senior Apartments welcomed Carol and enjoyed her active companionship there.

Carol's last months were blessed by the compassion and excellent care at Dove West Healthcare and St. Croix Hospice. Her family is very grateful to them.

Carol's family and friends will remember and celebrate her life according to her own plans.
