Calvin "Cal" Myrman, age 90, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. Cal was a man of extraordinary integrity and a dedicated community servant.
Born on October 31, 1935 in Chippewa Falls, Cal proudly joined the United States Air Force, where he was primarily stationed in Holland.
Upon returning home, Cal built a life deeply rooted in Chippewa Falls with his wife, Evonne. He dedicated 30 years of his professional career to the Northwestern Bank, where he was a trusted & familiar face. Cal's commitment to his hometown extended beyond the bank walls; he served as a city Alderman in the 1970s and spent over 40 years as the Secretary & Treasurer for Forest Hill Cemetery. He was also an active member of various local charitable organizations, including the Lions Club, always looking for ways to give back to the community he loved.
Cal's truest devotion was always to his family. He was a dedicated father & grandfather, pouring endless love, support, and pride into their lives. He proudly passed down his passion for the Packers and Badgers, ensuring the family was united in sport and spirit. Cal possessed a kind & gentle soul, with a rare gift for making others feel special-and if you were lucky enough to be given one of his trademark nicknames, you felt a little extra special.
Cal lived life with a brilliant sense of humor, and his storybook joke-telling was legendary, capable of lighting up any room. Everyone knew that Wednesdays were reserved for Cal and his brother, Todd. The duo would set off on excursions to explore the unknown-whether they were hunting down a specific artisan mustard, tracking down the perfect summer sausage, or driving two hours into the countryside just to sample the best open-face turkey sandwich a small-town diner had to offer.
Cal was preceded in death by his wife Evonne (Metzenbauer) Myrman; parents John & Frances Myrman; brothers John Myrman & Mark Myrman and sisters Marge Kryzcki, Joyce Nelson & Maxine McClain.
Cal is survived by his children, Craig (Peggy) Myrman, Ruthanne (John) Vadnais, Renee Olichwier & Kathleen (Robert) Diaz; grandchildren, Lauren Myrman, Brendan (Kristal) Myrman, Lyndsay Myrman (Dan Eckhoff), Tyler Myrman, Nicholas Vadnais, Owen Olichwier, Calvin "Chase" Diaz & Claire Diaz; great grandchildren Alayna Myrman, Jack Myrman, Hayden Myrman & Evanne Eckhoff; sisters Ellie Sells & Barbara Demars & brother Todd Myrman.
Holding true to Cal's wishes, family and friends will share a graveside ceremony on Saturday August 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery to celebrate his extraordinary life. Donations may be made in Cal's honor to Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.cremationsociety-wi.com.
