Bev was born at home in the Worthington, Minnesota (MN) area. It was such a cold day that her parents, Freida (Stowe) and Roy Beermann put her on the open oven door to keep her warm. She went to a one room schoolhouse until 6th grade, when that school was closed. She then got to ride the bus to Rushmore, MN. She graduated in 1958, at the age of 17, from Slayton MN High School. She stayed home to help her dad farm that summer. She moved to Red Wing, MN in 1959 to nanny for her Aunt Loretta and Uncle Bruce Von Bargen.
In 1960, Bev met her husband, Milton "Skip" Stockwell on a blind date arranged by her Uncle Bruce. Bev and Skip were married on 10/14/1961 (which was his parents' wedding anniversary, too). They lived in Ellsworth, Wisconsin (WI) until they bought their 80-acre farm in 1964 in Bay City, WI. Bev held numerous jobs until she started working for Dr. Slaikeu, DDS, until 1972. Bev and Skip had a stillborn daughter on July 17 of 1972 and then had their daughter Stacey Ann (Stockwell) Fredricks on 06/02/1973.
In 1977 they bought a bar in Bay City, WI and operated it as The Office Bar until they sold it in 1988. A couple of years later Bev went to work in the mail room at Pierce County Bank and Trust in Ellsworth, WI until her retirement. In 2004 they moved to a brand-new Condo in Ellsworth, WI.
Bev was an avid golfer, along with Skip, for many years. They were members of the Ellsworth Country Club for decades. She even got a hole-in-one on June 19, 2001! She also played Bridge with the same group of ladies for decades. Bev loved to play Bingo on Thursdays at a local tavern and was a faithful fan of all things Wisconsin sports; The Badgers, Brewers, Buck, and especially the Green Bay Packers GO PACK GO!
She is predeceased by her parents Roy Beermann and Freida (Stowe) Beermann; older brother, Laverne (Jeanie) Beermann; younger brother, Glenn (Lorraine) Beermann. She is survived by her husband Skip Stockwell; her daughter Stacey (Jeff) Fredricks; granddaughter, Eliora Fredricks (Tony Schaitel) and their son Sylus Michael; step granddaughter Tamara (Travis Grosskopf) Fredricks & their children Ludwig John "LJ" Grosskopf, Addelyn Naomi, Mason Alexander, and to be born in August Braxton James; and step grandson Ben (Danielle) Fredricks and their daughter Alyana Rose Skye and to be born in October Evelynn Ann Marie. Bev is also survived by her two sisters-in-law Jeanie and Lorraine, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with their respective families.
