Betty Ann Jenness passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025 in Ladysmith, WI at the age of 94. Betty was born in Ladysmith on December 9, 1930 to the late Arthur and Floss Nelson.
She truly loved camping and being outside. Her deck was her happy place, where she'd be with family, drinking a beer, sharing stories and lots of laughs that everyone will always remember.
Betty met her husband, Clayton Jenness, while they were working at JC Penny. They married on October 28, 1967. They built an awesome life together, full of love and always being there for each other.
Later working for over 24 years at the Rusk County Health and Human Services, Betty retired in 1993.
She adored her grandkids and great-grandkids, who could do no wrong in her eyes. Whether they were drawing under her kitchen table, enjoying popsicles on the couch, or even leaving candy wrappers in corners, she loved every minute of it.
Betty is survived by her children Ann (Steve) Clark, Terri James, Yvonne "Buddy" Jenness, Rick (Brenda) Jenness and Tom (Lynnette) Jenness; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and 2 special nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Clayton, 1 brother and 1 sister and 1 son-in-law Jim James.
