Bertha K Jaenke died peacefully at her home on June 6, 2026 in Chippewa Falls, WI, she was 88 years old. She died peacefully with her husband at her side.

Bertha was born in the Township of Sigel, WI on July 4, 1937. She graduated from Cadott High School and went on to school in Milwaukee where she learned secretarial skills.

Bertha married the love of her life Charles F. W. Jaenke on June 15, 1957. They were married 68 years.

Bertha spent most of her life as a hardworking general laborer and took great pride in her work. She worked many years at Presto and, after its closure, Tologna Pizza, where she formed many lasting friendships and memories.

After retirement, Bertha and her husband, Charles, enjoyed spending their winters in Sanford, Florida. She especially loved exploring local flea markets, always on the lookout for unique treasures and bargains.

Bertha found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She faithfully took daily walks and had a deep love for gardening. Her yard was a reflection of her creativity and care, filled with beautiful flowers, cherished garden statues, and festive decorations that changed with each holiday. She took great pride in making her home warm, welcoming, and full of seasonal cheer.

Bertha and Charles shared many wonderful years together camping and four-wheeling, creating memories with friends that would last a lifetime. She was also an avid reader and encouraged a love of reading in her children and grandchildren.

Above all, Bertha will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her love of family, and the joy she found in everyday moments. Her kindness, determination, and the care she put into everything she did will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bertha is survived by her husband, Charles Jaenke of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; her children, Steve Jaenke of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Tom Jaenke of Mims, Florida, Cheri (Jim) Dann of Cameron, Wisconsin, and Lisa (Lloyd) Gagner of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; and her grandchildren, Britt Jaenke of Altoona, Wisconsin, Grace (Eden) Pierre-Louis of Thornton, Colorado, Mackenzie Harvey of Waterloo, Iowa, Billi (Adam) Biri of Chetek, Wisconsin, Kyle Jaenke of Cameron, Wisconsin, Ryan Hoagland of Boston, Massachusetts, Alexa (Cody) Kurtz of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Justin (Alexis) Radle of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, James Radle of Gordon, Wisconsin, and Jade (Dusty) Roatch of Solon Springs, Wisconsin. She is also survived by many beloved great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Eshack; grandson, Nick Radle; daughter-in-law, Tammy Jaenke; brother, Harold Eaton; and sisters, Marion Jaenke, Ardella Marion, Evelyn Koeple, and Martha Jaenke.

Bertha's legacy of love, dedication, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice and Cornerstone Healthcare for their help and wonderful care in her final days.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Church at 733 Woodward Avenue in Chippewa Falls, WI 54729. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service with lunch to follow.
