Ashley Gilbertson

Ashley Brooke Gilbertson, 33, of Chippewa Falls, passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2026.

Ashley had a love for the outdoors. Throughout her years she enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, & camping. She appreciated life's quiet moments & especially cherished time spent with her beloved dog, Leo, who always brought her joy & comfort. Ashley loved reading books, listening to music, caring for her sourdough starter, baking homemade bread, crocheting & spending time at home watching her favorite tv shows & movies. She found happiness in the simple comforts of everyday life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Greg & Tammy Gilbertson.

Ashley is survived by her life partner, Nick Smith; her in-laws, Dave & Mary Smith; brother-in-law Josh Gadke; sister-in-law Brygit Steinhorst; her sisters, Alisha Workman (Brett) and Amanda Larsen (Kyle); her paternal grandparents, William & Sandra Gilbertson; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, & friends. Though her time with us ended too soon, her memory will remain with those who loved her.

The family asks for privacy during this difficult time & appreciates the kindness & support of those who knew her. A private family gathering will be held at a later time.
