Anita Regis

Anita Marie Regis (Neeters), age 80 of Lake Hallie, passed away on Sunday December 14, 2025 after a brief battle with health complications, keeping her sense of humor all of the way.

She was born May 15, 1945 to Ralph and Helen Ely in Eau Claire. In 1963, she graduated as salutatorian from Altoona High School and attended college for a short time after. Anita worked for Pope & Talbot and Lutheran Social Service for many years where she worked as an administrator. During her time at LSS, she especially took great pride in her work while working with clients.

In her retirement, Anita had many hobbies and interests that kept her connected and gave her purpose. She found great enjoyment in volunteering at her grandchildren's schools and was the treasurer for the Lake Hallie Lake Association, enjoyed road trips with her friends going near and far, and had a special connection with nature and animals few people have. She was a one-of-a-kind mother and friend who will be missed dearly by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Helen.

She is survived by her two daughters Tara and Traci (Eric) Regis; brothers Mark (Brenda) Ely, Dan (Linda) Ely, David (Pam) Ely; grandchildren Morgan and Astrid; and nieces and nephews Amy, Kevin, Susan, Preston, Brian, and Matt and their families; and many dear friends who grew to be like family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the staff at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, who cared so delicately for Anita and her family, the care provided was exceptional to the end.

A celebration of Anita's life will be held from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M. on Saturday, December 27th at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy Altoona. In lieu of flowers, please honor Anita's love for animals by making a donation to the Chippewa Humane Association.
