Andrew Leon Isaiah Mitchell

Andrew Leon Isaiah Mitchell, affectionately known by those who knew him as Drew or Lucky, passed away on July 8, 2026, at the age of 43.

Drew was born on July 5, 1983 to Leah Anderson and Melvin Mitchell. He is survived by his loving wife Kaylyn Mitchell, and his three children, Nadia Hessefort, Mayanna Mitchell, and Devonte Mitchell. His sister Maria (Alex) Fernandez of Chicago, IL, brother Sir Amos Mitchell of Steubenville, OH, and sisters Delilah Mitchell, Alia Smith, and Tyresha Smith of Chicago, IL, as well as many other family members.

Drew lived a life defined by love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was the kind of man who could brighten the room with his smile and make others laugh, even on days when he was carrying burdens of his own. Bringing joy to others came naturally to him, and those who knew him will always remember his generous heart and kind spirit.

Drew had a lifelong passion for cars. Whether he was working on them, talking about them, or simply admiring them, automobiles were more than a hobby-they were one of his greatest joys. He also took immense pride in his work and in the people he worked alongside. He believed in giving his best every day and earned the respect of coworkers through his dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic.

Above all else, Drew's greatest love was his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father, loving son, and loyal friend. He shared 17 beautiful years with the love of his life, Kaylyn, whose love and steadfast support never wavered. Together they built a life filled with love, strength, and cherished memories. Drew adored his three children, Nadia, Mayanna, and Devonte. They were the center of his world, and he loved them with all his heart. He was endlessly proud of them, and his love, guidance, and spirit will continue to live on in each of them.

While his passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved him, there is comfort in knowing he has been reunited in Heaven with his beloved grandmother and his son, welcoming them with open arms into eternal peace.

Drew will be remembered as an all-around good man-a loving husband, devoted father, hardworking provider, loyal friend, and someone who genuinely cared about making others smile. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave so freely and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

His legacy of love, laughter, kindness, and strength will never be forgotten. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone blessed to have known him.
