Joy L. Rudolph, age 84 of Stanley died Tuesday, June 18th 2013.
Joy was born March 4, 1929 in Toppenish, Washington to Charles and Emma Layman. She worked in her parent’s grocery store. Then she married Stanley Fleenor. After his death she married Harold Rudolph February 15, 1950 in Yakima, Washington. They lived in Riverside California for a short time. Then moved to Harold’s home state of Wisconsin and lived in several towns finally settling in Stanley in 1990 where she resided in the Pine Court Trailer Park until her death.
She was a seamstress and worked for many years in different garment factories. She also worked in a shoe factory. Her hobbies were sewing and working her flower garden. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting making many beautiful Afghans. She was a member a member of Jehovah’s Witness attending Cornell, Withee, and Thorp Congregations.
She is survived by her sons: Robert (Jan) Fleenor of Abbotsford and Paul (Donna) of Stanley; grandchildren: Michelle from MN, Tracy from MI, David and Michael from Stevens Point; great-grandchildren: Taylor and Megan from MN and Samantha from MI. Joy is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
